Homework

For Bennett's homework this week he had to draw a picture of an animal that started with "s" and then write the word. He knew how to spell snake and asked me why it had an "e" at the end, but you couldn't hear it. I explained the silent "e" rule, which he seemed to understand. Look at Thursdays homework and see how he spelled sheep. He did this all by himself and then came and told me that he used the silent "e" rule to make the long "e" sound in "sheeeeeeeep". He is to smart!

On Tuesday he had to draw a picture of a food that started with the "s" sound. He immediately said salmon. I was impressed that he thought of it so quickly and also that he loves salmon so much. He was drawing his picture while I was making dinner. I was expecting to see a picture of a fish when I checked and was surprised to see a salmon fillet on a dish. I love the kids spell of "samun".

Letter A

This is Bennett first art project from kindergarten. A is for applejacks. However, Carter thought A is for Ate the Applejacks. Bennett is going to cry when he gets home. CARTER!

A Rainbow

We talking about rainbows at school. They have different colors. After the rains stops falling a rainbow comes out. A rainbow was made, we used paint. Under the rainbow I drawed a umbrella and a very fat guy. He has a raincoat on.

Leprechaun

A Leprechaun is super fast like a leopard. An it put a pot a gold at a end of a rainbow. It all green. And it has 4 fingers. Leprechauns are kind of different than us. We have 5 fingers. So we are different. They have orange beards and they have pointy ears like a elf. I tried to trap one with a laundry basket but it was to sneaky. It did silly things to our house and it turned our milk green.

Volcano

It a volcano. It explodes! Lava comes out and the lava is different colors, red, yellow and orange. A lava is super hot. It's in Pompeii. It's huge! Dinosaurs live with volcanoes.

Elasmosaurus

It swims, it eats fish. It's body is like a turtle and it's neck is like a snake and a snake tail. It lives in the ocean.

Stegosaurus

A stegosaurus has spikes on a back. And he have three spikes on his tail but you can't see it in this picture cause my moms scanner is too small. The spikes are for to poke other dinosaurs. The plates on his back back him bigger. He eats plants, that what in her mouth. Brown and green and orange are the colors I used so it can be dinosaur skin. I used coloring and sleepy crayons. A stegosaurus has a little teeny tiny head.

Paleontologist

A paleontologist collects a bones so he can build a dinosaur so they can see what it looks like. He uses a ax. He kind a like a leprachaun, because he has green on, but with brown.

Bald Eagle

We want our world to be strong and healthy and cool. a Bald Eagle is cool and strong and healthy. He's a Bald Eagle of the United States.

Abraham Lincoln

Aberham Lincoln had a black suit and a really tall hat. He lived in a log cabin wif one room. A baby and a wife and some children lived there and slept on a rug. He walked down the street and some boys, they tied a rope to a building an a tree. Aberham walked into it and tripped over it, but he laughed wif the boys. He was a president. He hab a beard and a tall hat. That all I want to say.

George Washington

This is George Washington. He gots wooden teeth. Because in his world they didn't have dentists and he ate to much sugar. He's a president of the world. He habe curly hair. He didn't smile very much cause he had wooden teeth.

You know what my teacher always says? Throw away your trash. They live in the North Pole. They eat people or snowballs. They are white that is why we used white paper and no colors. They live in the snow and at some zoos. They live in a place that is called a artic.

Koala bears...I don't remember.

Panda

Pandas eat bamboo. There are cuddley but there are not nice. They play and sleep. They eat and eat and eat. They nap, eat, nap, eat, nap, eat. Kindof like a pattern.

Calendar

This is a different kind of calendar. It a arrow calendar, cause the arrow tells you what season. The arrow is pointing at winter. There is spring, fall, summer. My favorite season is fall because I get to jump in the leaves. That what I like to do.

Snow Everywhere

I paint the snow everywhere because I really like it. And the Christmas tree is very tall cause I want it touch the clouds. And I paint a black hat. Then I paint the snow on it.

Frosty the Snowman

I really love a snowman. I really love the colors. I like red because it is a rainbow color. This snowman is standing up because the sun is not out. He is happy.

This one is melted because the sun is up. And we put all a things on a blob. And the eyes and the scarf and the arms and the smile are all on the blob. That is funny!

New Years Party

I love this. I really want to show it to somebody, like Ry Ry and Aubry. Those are my friends and Ry Ry and Aubry live far away and their my best friends. I want to do the same thing that Miss. Sara does. Her teach me how to learn about art work, I think. First I made a circle and a triangle and a line, that make a balloon. Then we paint it. Then we draw the number. What is that called? It's two, zero, one, zero. It means that lots of holidays are coming up, because it's the new year. All the brand new holidays start over again.
